Etienne,

What does the Event Log say on the Windows side? Do you get an error
about not being able to issue a CAL? This happened to me: while I
could connect to everything using a different SRS, when I used the
problematic one, W2K8 connections would fail [didn't check the NIC
activity, though].

I thought it might have something to do with the CAL database on the
license server so I tried to delete the entry so it could get recreated
but I was not successful.

I don't think the problem was with the W2K8 server because I could RDP
from a PC. Somehow, I thought the problem was either SRS-related or
CAL-related [or both].

Unfortunately, I never did figure out the problem.

Subject: EXTERNAL:[SunRay-Users] uttsc crashes the network interface
when connecting to WS2K8 SP1 TS

Please ignore the previous HTML version; I am sending this as an
identical
copy in plain text.

Good day,

SRWC2.2 and SRSS4.2 (Solaris 10 x64) are installed.

A separate DHCP server that does not provide the AuthSrvr option is
being
used.

The Sun Ray 2 DTU runs POST, obtains a DHCP address, presents its
pseudo-token and receives a session.

The user logs in at the Sun Ray 2 to a JDS desktop, opens a terminal
window
and cd's to /opt/SUNWuttsc/bin.

./uttsc <Windows Server 2003 R2 SP2 terminal server with per-user CALs>
works.
./uttsc <SBS 2003 SP2 terminal server> works
./uttsc <Windows XP SP2 workstation> works

.but:
./uttsc <Windows Server 2008 SP1 terminal server with per-user CALs>
.not only fails but it interrupts ***all*** i/o to the single e1000g0
interface on the Sun Ray server.

I'm downloading SP2 for Windows Server 2008 right now but would be
thankful
if anyone were to point out other leads where to look for the cause of
the
problem.

Cheers,

Etienne
