+1 for Ubuntu ... (Gnome centric, server capable, _desktop_ distro ... perfect as a SunRay server)
Although full support isn't that important. With the most recent HowTo installation was a breeze. My major issues are (we're not running the newest version, so I'm not sure if some of this has been fixed already): * Fix keyboard / xkb stuff. I've never had to mess with that before, and I'd rather not again ;) * Fix Xinerama: Two monitors on a single DTU should be reported as two monitors. * Give us the card-less hot desking. (Especially neat would be a simple way to offer users different session types to choose from: What will it be today, windows/kiosk or local x session? * Tight USB-Key / (Gnome) Desktop integration: Users need a window that pops up nowadays. * Speed. Not only flash is slow. I find that running Firefox in a Windows Terminal Session renders more smoothly than running it natively. That's just so wrong... regards, Elmar _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
