I'll join the chorus, Ubuntu support for Sunray is essential. We are a university and our students and faculty expect a desktop experience comparable to their Linux laptop. That means up to date libraries and desktop applications which just are not there on RHEL and similar enterprise distributions. RHEL may be great for call centers applications, but it doesn't cut it for diverse desktop use.

I also join the call for Sunray multimedia acceleration support for Linux. Maybe support for Windows is enough for corporate business desktops, but our environment is open source and Linux.

Another big issues for us in non-smartcard mobile sessions for Linux. This has been supported on Solaris from nearly the beginning of Sunray, and is essential in a student/lab environment.

One more thought on Ubuntu support. Should Oracle do it in house, or contract with Cannonical? Ubuntu 10.04 LTS looks good today, but 12 months from now, half way through its lifetime, it too will have out of date libraries and applications. It seems like Cannonical would be in a better position to be sure that their 6 month releases don't break Sunray support.
