Hello, I have some troubles installing VDI 3.2. Any suggestions would be helpfull since I am planning to install VDI 3.2 at a customer location early next week.
I have a freshly installed solaris 10 system with very recent recommended patches installed. I first install vb-install. That works fine. Then, when I install vda-install it stops when installing the Sun Ray patches. Loading patches installed on the system... Done! Loading patches requested to install. Done! Checking patches that you specified for installation. Done! Approved patches will be installed in this order: 140994-03 Checking installed patches... Executing prepatch script... Patch 140994-03 failed to install due to a failure produced by pkgadd. See /var/sadm/patch/140994-03/log for details Patchadd is terminating. ERROR: There was a problem installing Sun Ray Software 5 Check '/var/sadm/install/logs/vda-install.2010_08_13_09:02:51.log' for details. **********/var/sadm/patch/140994-03/log************* This appears to be an attempt to install the same architecture and version of a package which is already installed. This installation will attempt to overwrite this package. /tmp/vda_3.2_amd64/patch/srss_4.2/Solaris_10+/i386/140994-03/SUNWlibusbut/instal l/checkinstall: /tmp/vda_3.2_amd64/patch/srss_4.2/Solaris_10+/i386/140994-03/SUN Wlibusbut/install/checkinstall: cannot open pkgadd: ERROR: checkinstall script did not complete successfully Dryrun complete. No changes were made to the system. The full /var/sadm/install/logs/vda-install.2010_08_13_09:02:51.log file was attached. But I removed it because it awaits moderators approval.
