I originally asked this question because the Sunray and other Oracle/Sun products were getting too costly to justify purchasing, and I like the products. Oracle seemed indifferent and/or disorganized when it came to pricing. This was after six or seven weeks of working with Oracle and a third party vendor. The prices I stated were from a third party vendor quote sent to me. I also got a price directly from Oracle that did not offer any discount.
Hopefully we accomplished what I was hoping to do and that is make Oracle realize that their pricing is driving customers away from their products. In the back of my mind I was thinking maybe that is what Oracle wants to do on some their products. I agree we should not dwellon this any longer. Hopefully Oracle heard us.
