Well put William! "I guess I just kind of wish Oracle had opted to keep Sun's existing edu programs while reworking them instead of eliminating them while reworking them. I anxiously await what comes, and I hope the outcome is favorable for all parties involved :)"
I concur. I think Oracle could have avoided MANY hard feelings, wrong or bad impressions, and customers jumping ship and otherwise loyal Sun users/fans/customers starting to look elsewhere! After all, when "we" start a new job, the smart thing is to learn "their way" and then improve, modify, and change things down the road after we have a good understanding of how things work. It has been my experience that making blanket changes right off the bat usually puts things right where we all find ourselves now! /paul -----Original Message----- >From: William Yang <[email protected]> >Sent: Aug 20, 2010 10:29 AM >To: 'SunRay-Users mailing list' <[email protected]> >Subject: Re: [SunRay-Users] A Plea (was "Purchasing sunray DTU") > >> You've heard "We will work with you" from two of the most influential >> people in the desktop space within Oracle (Wim and Brad).
