In order to convert from .vmdk to .vdi I have added the .vmdk diskimage and a new empty .vdi diskimage to an already running VM. Then I used xcopy with a lot of options to copy all files from the .vmdk diskimage to the .vdi diskimage.
This seems to work fine except for the Novell Client.
The Novell login GUI does not show the normal username and password fields.
There is only a blue bar.
I am not sure if this is a bug or a security feature from the Novell client.
Any suggestions on how to solve this last issue?

Kind regards,

Ivar

I have converted the .tib image file to VMware workstation 5, 6 and 6.5 .vdmk diskimage versions.
All .vdmk image file versions work in Virtualbox.
I converted all three .vdmk files to .vdi files with VBoxManage and all three .vdi files don't work in Virtualbox.

I was just wondering.
If Virtualbox can use .vmdk files. Why can't I import them in Oracle VDI?
That would make it much easier and I would not have to figure out why the converstion to .vdi fails. Is there a command line option to import .vdmk files instead of .vdi files?

Kind regards,

Ivar
