(hopefully the reply to the list isn't an issue - I don't think the response below was private)
We did think of that and removed the flash acceleration - no joy. The user also reports issues when using our webmail and when in Word (I'm assuming they don't have anything else open in the background - they say they don't) -Jon ----- Original Message ----- From: "Darrel Hankerson" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, September 23, 2010 11:13:47 AM Subject: Re: [SunRay-Users] [Maybe OT] VDI 3.1 VM hangs "Jonathan C. Wild guess: we had significant problems when testing the Ray-specific accelerations for Windows Media Player (and minor problems with those for Adobe flash) with Early Access 4.2, although these were fairly obviously associated with an app and typically the lockups were not total. Unlike your example, we are connecting to connect to VMWare View. We now use only the Sun audio driver (and no accelerations specific to WMP or Flash). Config: Solaris/x86, Ray 1 and Ray 2, some accel specific to Ray 2. Connecting to Windows XP via the View client from Sun. -- Darrel Hankerson _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
