The lack of a /tmp/SUNWut/units/... directory for the DTU that I
mentioned a couple of weeks ago has been solved. It was, as people
suggested, caused by old firmware in the DTU, and upgrading that
firmware caused the magical appearance of said directory.
I could've sworn that the directory had been there and then
disappeared, but I must've recorded the wrong MAC address in my notes or
something; as I understand it now, it could never have been there with
the old firmware.
Thanks for the suggestions! This level of support, and the existence
of this mailing list and the presence of Sun employees here (actual
developers rather than Bangalore Bob reading from a support script) are
a big part of my continuing push to deploy Sun Ray DTUs for my
customers. The other part, of course, is the fact that Sun Rays are
awesome. :)
