Mukaram, We've corresponded before on this topic. What you're experiencing with W2K8 [enter userame/password and it lets you in but the circle keeps spinning and nothing ever changes after that] is, I believe, the same thing I went through. I had to open a support case and get patches from Oracle: there was a problem with both uttsc and pcscd as I recall.

Oberthur's middleware is pcsc 1.6.4 compliant. they modified their code to remove functions not supported in pcsc 1.3. now i could successfully connect to windows 2003 but still i am unable to connect to windows 2008 as the session hangs after log on to windows. i am pasting below the mail i got from Oberthur for your information. i shall be grateful for your help. thanx mukaram From: "Stephane RONCERET" To: "mukaram Khan-C" Sent: Thursday, October 7, 2010 7:04:44 PM GMT +05:00 Tashkent Subject: RE: smart card logon to windows Hi Mukaram, Good to hear from you. In order to allow Sun upgrade its PCSC libraries, the most simple would be to ask them to comply with the latest PCSC lite (1.6.4). Objective for them is to have a thin client compliant with Microsoft Base CSP and the Smart Card Key Storage Provider which manage Microsoft minidrivers >From our side a quick analyse allow us to identify some unsupported command by the Pcsc lite form SUN (expecting we do not missed some command) - SCardGetAttrib with SCARD_ATTR_CURRENT_PROTOCOL_TYPE parameter - SCardGetAttrib with SCARD_ATTR_ATR_STRING parameter - SCardIsValidContext Another possibility would be to send some cards with our minidriver to SUN Let me know. What middleware are you using and what are the issues that you are seeing? What version of the Oracle PC/SC-lite implementation are you running? mike _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users _______________________________________________ SunRay-Users mailing list [email protected] http://www.filibeto.org/mailman/listinfo/sunray-users
