I am concerned that when we change the configuration via the Sun admin console, on which server the system points to, it does not necessarily replicate properly.

For example, I tell the system to point all users to Server2. (Windows terminal server)

Could you be clearer what kiosk session type you use and what setting(s) you change?

If this is about kiosk settings: can you provide output of

  $ /opt/SUNWut/sbin/utkiosk -e session

(best would be to have this before and after the change, but if you only have the latter that should provide some insights)

After 1 day and the initial session being logged off, they system will still point users to Server1 from the previous setting.

All users or only some users? Any commonality?

My main question is: What has to be reset when making a change to the server used.

It depends on the change you are making. The big hammer that should work in any case is a cold restart of the entire server group.

We are using the most recent versions of all software (SRSS .42)

Note, this problem occurs after the Desktop and Token are cleaned up via the Administration program. We are not using a meta kiosk configuration. Purely Terminal server.

So are you using the standard Sun Ray Windows Connector kiosk session type or a homemade type?
