Hi Scott,
Can you open a support call?
I assume that the version of middleware changed? Is it compatible with
PC/SC-lite 1.3?
Is it detecting the card reader at the initial login? i.e. Is it
prompting you for a PIN?
There were a few PC/SC calls that Microsoft introduced a bit after Vista
was released. While those new calls have now made it into Oracle's Sun
Ray enabled PC/SC-lite, the corresponding changed to allow them to be
used by RDP were not made in uttsc for the current product.
I can't say that the "new" calls that are not implemented in the current
uttsc are going to solve you issue, but your issue does sound exactly
like another customers issue where we discovered that uttsc did not yet
have these calls.
If the AI middleware does support PC/SC-lite 1.3, you may want to ask
them if supporting the call SCardIsValidContext is required (probably
is). If so, then open a call and escalate CR 7013737.

Trying to get smartcards to pass through to Windows 7 virtual machines

detecting that a card reader is attached. The setup being used was
previously running Windows XP machines and that setup work properly.
Once migrated to Windows 7, this functionality has stopped.
Any ideas?
