Server group of 5 servers configured for Kiosk Mode. Was working fine as of 1700 hours on 10 FEB 2011. This morning, 0730 hours 14 FEB, I'm getting lots of logs from libusbut.so.1 and LDAP server connection failures. I decided to cold restart the FOG which from all indications worked fine. This happens periodically and I'm inclined to believe it's a network issue but have no evidence.
Now for some strange reason, the DTUs are dropping to dtgreet (Solaris login) instead of starting the Kiosk session! I see no errors in /var/opt/SUNWut/log/messages indicating a failure. Scanned for error logs from pam_kiosk but found nothing. Likewise, nothing from Kiosk. Situation degraded to the point that all new sessions on two of the five servers wind up with Solaris logins. Seems to be isolated to the two servers ... the primary and one secondary. We're having the user kill their sessions with ctrl+alt+bkspx2 but that's gross. We need to figure out what's up and fix it. Any clues, troubleshooting ideas, RTFM's, etc gratefully appreciated! I have looked every place I can think of and found nothing. Next step is to reboot all the servers to see if that gets them back in sync. Art
