The network team wants to shut down the Cisco VPN3000 Concentrator and redirect
users to a Cisco ASA 5550. Does anyone know if there is a compatibility matrix
that shows what version FW supports which concentrators?
Thanks.

There isn't one, well not really. There's support for Cisco EzVPN and
with the -06 rev of SRSS 4.1 core services patch we introduced support
for Netscreen IPSec VPN Gateways and formal support for the ASA (which I
believe worked mostly prior). Which ever you use (3K, ASA, Netscreen)
you have use a group/key authentication for phase 1, followed by Xauth
using a username/password.
Of course there have been a few regressions, but AFAIK, those have all
been fixed. I don't have an easy way to track those outside of looking
at each patch readme.

Hi all,
we are using a Cisco ASA together with RSA Auth for our teleworkers, if I
informed me correct it is version 8.4.1. I can ask for more details, if your
are interested. The only problem we had so far was, that some internet
providers do not enable IP/SEC. Also IP/SEC cannot be NATed with some "cheap"
WLAN Routers, so we force our teleworker to plug in the Sun Rays to the router
with the official IPs to be on the save side.
kind regards, thomas

Hi List,
currently our Sun Ray servers run on ESX as it is only supported in the global
zone. Based on the new license model for non-oracle hardware we would like to
move it to a solaris machine with zones to free the ESX from Solaris guests.
Can somebody tell me when sun ray server will be ready for zones. I have done
this already for Oracle Secure Global Desktop.
Appreciate your feedback, Thomas

(when logged out from wts)
Message-ID: <[email protected]>
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
Hi List,
default kiosk: uttsc ts2008 (which is a wts)
our WTS admin is complaining that he gets endless requests from Sun Rays where
e.g user logs out and goes home
the nice Apr 12 23:13:34 srss05.w.oenb.co.at Sun Ray Connector proxy:[14467]:
[ID 855542 user.error] Child closed socket prematurely, session shutdown in
messages (endless entries in the messages file)
so for wts it looks like every 30 secs somebody presses ctrl-alt-del, which is
quite noisy with 200 sun rays connected. Does anybody have a good idea how to
stop this, because the sun ray server is eager running its connects on and on.
With our previous thin client after 6 login trys it stopped and showed a
"reconnect" button, that's what I'm looking for. With Sun Ray 3 with the power
button is much easier, because user mostly pressing the button when they leave,
but the sun ray 2 does drive us crazy, which me mostly have.
Appreciate your feedback, Thomas

Hi,
Currently I am running SRSS 4.2 on Solaris 11 Express. It runs pretty
smooth most of the time. There is only one little issue. From time to
time the screen locks itself. It happens when there is high load on the
system (e.g. a lot of backup jobs) or almost every time when watching a
youtube video in Firefox. After 2 to 3 minutes the screen locks itself.
After the screen is locked one can login again without a problem.
Has anybody an idea why this happens?
Thanks in advance,
Erik

Hi Thomas,
I'm sorry, but you have to install the Ray Server in the global zone (I had the
problem too)
It is not possible to separate this Server.
I tried a manual copy but it didn't work.
