Installed OVDC 2.1.7 on half dozen or so PC's with Vista. Most of these
worked fine, but a couple had the Windows firewall enabled. During the
install, the firewall software asked if it was OK to allow OVDC through,
we answered yes, but the OVDC still does not seem to be able to get
connected to the SR server and just sits at a white screen with the red
Oracle logo after the spinner disappears.
It seems that on any PC or laptop that had the Windows firewall enabled
at the time we did the OVDC install, OVDC will not work even though we
said to allow it through. We have uninstalled OVDC, disabled the
firewall, and re-installed OVDC with no joy. We even removed the OVDC
folder in appdata, still no joy.
Any suggestions, RTFM's, etc gratefully accepted.
