Well..... a bit of Google'ing suggests that the gdmdynamic command died
since Red Hat version - 5.7 and GDM 2.18.
I don't seem to have anything in my Fedora 15 version either:
# yum whatprovides */gdmdynamic

Does this mean that I won't be able to run SRSS on my FC15 machine yet?
I guess this means that I'll need to buy another box and install Solaris
11 on it as the 'best supported' option :-(

Hi,
I've attempted an install of SRSS 5.2 x86 edition on my FC15 box which
is a dual core ATOM 1.8GHz Mini-ITX system with 4GB RAM. I'm using a
Sun Ray 1 DTU with Sun Keyboard to connect over site-to-site Cisco
IPSEC/GRE VPN over ADSL.
So far SRSS seems to be installed however, I had difficulties
connecting the Sun Ray client to the box.
I can't tell the error code message as I don't have an extra screen
(yet!!) for it but having previous knowledge of SRSS on Debian 3.01r
and SXCE generally once all the bottom line config has gone through
the basic Ray setup just works fine.
Currently my problem seems to be directed at the fact that
/dev/utdiskctl has not been found.
This comes down to the kernel module failed to load. I'm presuming
because my build is quite late and hence doesn't have gdmdynamic
commnd..... the error log for utctl shows:
# cat utctl.2011_08_10_17:57:14.log
/etc/opt/SUNWut/xmgr/reset-dpy: line 64: gdmdynamic: command not found
I had a look in the YUM repos and couldn't find anything specific to
this so I'm really not sure how to proceed from here! I've got GDM
installed on my system with XFCE as the desktop environment and Nvidia
drivers for the inbuilt GT218 GPU; I'm not sure if this is having an
effect on things but it sure would be nice to get the Ray working!
Has anyone got any ideas?
Thanks and regards,
Kaya
