Hi Paul,

will monitor this for a couple of days and then open a bug with all the info I
have. So far I made some progress removing cards from the probe order, that are
not capable of doing smartcard login leaving only the two drivers for our
current Smartcard which speeds up the connection phase of OVDC down to around
30 secs. For some reason I don't know, I need to use different drivers for OVDC
& Sun Ray HW with the same middleware, otherwise it does not work.

1.) Use only original driver => Sun Rays work, OVDC gets Error 63
2.) Use only other driver with two more 00 => OVDC works, Sun Rays gets Error 63

results in use both ...

root <> : /etc/opt/SUNWut/smartcard > diff SunRay-ASEPCOS.cfg

Hi all, while I'm quite happy, that we can do now login with our smartcards
(ext. ADPU) against our Windows Terminal Servers, I quite often do have now the
following error message in the log, which makes me uncomfortable.

# utrelase
Sun Ray Software 5.3.0.0.49
Sun Ray Operating Software 11.0.0.0.49

# dmesg

Especially in combination with OVDC 3.1 (where currently we not use the cards,
so I have unticked smart card support in settings) I can't get of the feeling,
that it tries to connect a couple of times until it gets to the default kiosk,
which is

root <> : /tftpboot > utkiosk -e session
KIOSK_SESSION=uttsc
KIOSK_SESSION_TIMEOUT_DETACHED=12000
KIOSK_SESSION_ARGS=-t 300 -- -l de_DE -E wallpaper -E theming -E fontsmoothing
-r scard:on ts2008

KIOSK_ENABLED=yes

Any ideas ... otherwise I will create a Ticket at Oracle Support.

Please create an Oracle support ticket and carefully describe steps to
reproduce
and all your activities related to the kiosk session... including what kind of
middleware
and card you're using.

Testing has been done with kiosk mode and it works well  for at least the
conditions
it was tested with, including multiple middlewares running on the Windows side.

We need to figure out what's unique about your case.  Once you file the support
ticket, I can work with you to collect whatever other information that can help
us diagnose the problem.  I actually have some specific data I'm looking for,
which I can discuss in the context of a bug report.

Thanks,
Paul Klissner

regards, thomas

PS: All HW Sun Rays are running the latest Firmware.
