Oracle development has definitely been exploring OEL/RHEL 6.x support as part of their development strategy. I cannot comment on the delivery timeframe for such a feature.
Up to date platform support for shipping Oracle Operating Systems is always a development target. There are several changes in 6.x which need addressing, including Multi-Seat GDM as you have pointed out. Obviously feature parity across supported platforms is a target where applicable.
