Ben,

I assume you've done an X Display Reset [CTL ALT backspace backspace] along
with a reboot?

What I've done in the past is

utresadm -a -c IEEE802.MAC_addr -t pseudo.MAC_addr XRESxYRES@frequency

utresadm -a -c IEEE802.000000000000 -t pseudo. 000000000000 1024x768@60

You can check what settings have been made with utresadm -p

Then do a cold restart [utrestart -c].

You can access this from the thin client itself with Shift Props [using a Sun
keyboard], which will bring up a config menu. The drawback is that settings
changed with this method are not permanent.

I don't know about y'all but the 2 issues for me that behave inconsistently
from case to case are video resolution and firmware updating.

Subject: EXT :[SunRay-Users] display resolution issue

Hi dears

just now i installed and configured Sun Ray test setup with one server and 2
sunrays (270 and 3i)

my application works only in 800x600 mode. i issued command below command:

# ./utxconfig -a -r '800x600'

the display resolution in sunray 270 is auto adjusting an i am getting full
screen display. But the sunray 3i is giving display on left upper corner and
the desktop is small.it's not adjusting the display

how to resolve this issue.is sunray 3i dosen't have this auto adjusting
functionality..?

by updating new firmware or ant software update will solve this issue.?

Please help me to solve this..i am in deep trouble.

Thanks & Regards,
Ben T George
