Thanks for the tip!! I installed SUNWutfw from SRS 5.2.x and did an 'ln -s /opt/SUNWut /opt/SUNutdfw' to make utadm happy. It is still not working, but I have a feeling that problem will go away when I start serving DHCP from the new Sun Ray Server in a few weeks.

Hi Russel, If I am running SRS 5.3.1 but do not have SROS installed, is it possible to manage Sun Ray 1s (e.g. push out the Sun Ray 1 firmware from SRS 5.2.x)? Yes, I don't see why you should not be able to do that. After all, the firmware stuff is really just putting the files (and symlinks) in a tftp directory. But 5.3 comes without any firmware at all. If you download the SROS from my oracle support (and you'll need a valid CSI for sun ray hardware) it will only contain the firmware for SR2 and SR3 (P8 and above). You will have to download an older version of SRS (5.2 like you suggested), extract the SR1 firmware from there and copy to your new server.
