Hi, In our institute we use software which is executed from a background process. This software needs an X-server display to function.
In order to make this work a selected user is constantly logged in using the smart card system. The display settings are passed to our software, which runs under the same user account and thus is allowed to use the display. The problem with this setup is that the selected user does need to be logged in all the time. Problems occur when the system needs a reboot and the user must log in again. Is it possible to automatically create a user session for a given user and associate the session with a smart card? Gr, Rob
