Hi, i had SRSS v4.2.78 running on debian linux v6.0.7 stable for a long while now. After applying a huge bunch of debian updates, i can't login anymore. The gdm login manager v2.20.11-4 accepts my account, but immediatly returns to the gdm login screen (saying "your session lasted less than 10 seconds..."). from /home/username/.xsession-errors /etc/opt/SUNWut/gdm/SunRayPreSession/SessReg: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp /etc/opt/SUNWut/gdm/SunRayPreSession/SessReg: running: /usr/bin/X11/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/lib/gdm/:21.Xservers" -h "" -l ":21" "kai" from /var/log/auth.log Mar 24 20:45:26 jacob gdm[4853]: pam_unix(gdm:auth): authentication failure; logname= uid=0 euid=0 tty=:21 ruser= rhost= user=kai Mar 24 20:45:33 jacob gdm[4853]: pam_unix(gdm:session): session opened for user kai by (uid=0) Mar 24 20:45:33 jacob gdm[4853]: pam_ck_connector(gdm:session): nox11 mode, ignoring PAM_TTY :21 Mar 24 20:45:40 jacob gdm[4853]: pam_unix(gdm:session): session closed for user kai What's missing in the xsession-errors log is the line "/etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session setup..." Any hints what the problem might be? I have already reinstalled older policykit and dbus-x11 packages... thanks, Kai |
