Sitney,
No, not really.... I don't have NDT either. Or any of the singles... I
would love to get Love U More because I really like the video edit version.
I still consider myself a diehard fan though. It's not so much an issue of
what you have and don't have, in a sense, as to whether or not you really
love the music. If it came down to actual ownings.... then having your cds
stolen or a fire destroying your home (and I hope and pray neither happens
to any of us) would remove you from being "core fan" status. And I don't
think that deep down (granted this is my feelings and others are free to
feel different) how long you've been a Sunscreem fan is a total decider
either...it helps and shows your interest, but it's not required. I've been
into them since 1993, but if I was to meet a fan who really loved the music
for what it was worth who got into them a year ago...I would'nt tell them
that they were not a true fan. To me (again my opinions), true fan and not
true fan depends on whether a person is really likes Sunscreem or if they
are just riding a current scene (this is where the amount of time as a fan
plays a good backer but then again, we all had to start at some point)...
if a dj in NY happens to spin Exodus and everyone likes it so Ms. Bandwagon
does too.... Ms. Bandwagon is not a true fan. If Ms. Bandwagon likes it
whether the others like it or not and continues to like it... Ms. Bandwagon
is a true fan (and should probably be renamed...to Ms. Whiteskies maybe).
I don't have anything against people who want alot of Sunscreem's stuff,
mind you. I'd like quite a few of the cd singles myself... and a poster, if
there was and still is one (if not I'll just continue doing what I've been
doing all this time... namely saving Adam Reeve's pics (particulary the
modified ones) and printing them up on my printer... thus having something
at least to hang up in my office at home). I would'nt mind a couple of
shirts eventually too and that snazzy hat they have. All in good time (and
even better paychecks) of course.
I'm just saying though (and I'm sure they agree) that the stuff does'nt
make the fan... but the stuff does make the fan happier! :-)
Basically, to end this little epic...sorry I got so lengthy, you're a first
generation fan... no slack to it! :-)
