my 2 cents worth:
sunscreem were my main inspiration for breaking away from rock music and
into dance/electronic arenas. they were my inspiration for learning how to
dj, and the reason why i am choosing to play material with a live band
rather than simply let a tape machine do the work.
being an indie musician is tough. trying to get a record deal (if you want
one to begin with) is tough. i wouldn't blame them if they never turned out
another song again, and simply wanted to go on about their lives after all
they've been through. the point is that their music has affected me, and
that's all that matters. they've done their job as musicians and artists as
far as i'm concerned. and ALL of their material (including remixes, good and
bad) have found a high place in my record collection.
a fan 4 life,
