Ummm, do we know if the songs are actually being delivered in mp3 format? I was kind of curious to know when I first read the announcement. I quote: "All will be delivered in crystal clear CD quality sound sourced directly from the studio master tapes." While mp3's are good, I would certainly never think of passing them off as CD quality. Don't get me wrong--I'd be perfectly happy with mp3's for the weekly releases. It seems odd that they'd use anything else. The wav files would be too large for those that aren't blessed with a high speed connection, and the bandwidth used for screeming.com might get a little out of hand. I suspect Adam (or whoever wrote that blurb) just got a little over-zealous. Who can blame him? ;^) On the other hand, I hope the tracks for the new song (the mix project) are downloadable in full quality. Whatever the format, I am *so* impressed that SS decided to do this. I was totally blown away when I first read the announcement. Either phase of the project is impressive by itself. It's truly amazing that they're doing both. It just goes to show how enlightened Paul & Lucia are. I don't have a clue on how to mix a song, but I might be willing to teach myself for this... Anyway, I guess we'll find out about the formats in one week. (Unless Adam will enlighten us sooner?) I suppose the choices for the weekly track postings will be limited by the labels that they were produced under as well?
