G'day....
As I'm sure you all know (you *do* know, right?), the Music for the Screemillenium
project is due to go live today. Well as with all great things we've had a couple of
teething problems and it will be at the earliest tonight (UK time) before I can get
everything working. But it will be I promise! We are also looking at cohosting the
files at other locations such as mp3.com and dmusic.com. So again, for the first few
days download times may be patchy. The page will include links to download locations
for players if you don't have one, I heavily recommend Sonique for windows users, and
players are available for pretty much every system going (including windows ce!).
The first track will be "Coda", from Out of the Woods, and never previously released.
It's a real grower, so if the style puts you off at first keep listening! It shows a
more modern edge to the Sunscreem sound, with Lucia singing over what can be best
described as "light jungle" breakbeats and pads. This is a trend audible in the album
as a whole, with several tracks showing Lucia's fondness for a dirtier, harder edged
sound as first demonstrated in the Heaven mixes (e.g. Secrets).
For those who are interested in sound quality, the file has been sourced in direct
digital (SPDIF from DAT) and converted to a 128k MP3 using the latest frauenhoffer
codecs (with the HQ option on).
I'll send out another mail when the files are available.
Be of Good Heart :-)
Adam.
