I am definitely interested in the EEPROMs if not only for the sake of
curiosity. However I've got a question. Would using an Apple EEPROM on my
ix3D Ultimate Rez give me a better chance of running Xwindows with graphics
acceleration enabled? I have had to run Xwindows in Linux (YDL 2.0) with the
"no driver" video option checked in BootX. I remember reading somewhere that
there generally is support for G3s with original ixmicro OEM cards from
Apple. Could an "Apple EEPROMed" card work with the existing Xfree86 config
for the G3s that came with ixmicro OEM cards installed?
Does anyone have any info on running an ix3D Ult Rez accelerated under
Xwindows? I've been all over the net and haven't found any real coherent
HOWTOs on getting this card to run with acceleration enabled. Any feedback
and/or configs would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Seth
