Sorry about that.
I do believe I did a low level format on my IDE drive.
Was not aware that this may cause a hardware failure eventually and I
haven't had any problems as of yet. Knock on wood.
As for low level formatting, I've always checked that option so that's what
I did as well when I got the IDE drive for the first time.
