Hi,

C600 with Sonnet G3 L2 400MHz/1Meg processor, 144 Megs of RAM, Asante
10/100 PCI, OS 8.1.

I just installed an ATI XClaim VR 128 video card in a PCI slot. Another
slot has the 10/100 card. The third slot is empty. After installing the
card I pressed the CUDA switch for about 60 seconds. When I connected my
Princeton Ultra 17 monitor to the new video card, and turned on the
computer, all I got was a blank screen. I could hear my hard drive
working but no icon ever came up on the screen. I then zapped the PRAM,
holding down option-command-p-r until I heard the second bong, but
still no boot. I did this a few times with no success. (Of course, I was
not able to install the software for the new video card; I'm tempted to
install the software before reconnecting to the new video card.)

(To get back on the air, I have since reconnected the monitor to the old
built-in video card (640x480 resolution).)

Any ideas? TIA.

Amado
