One big Snip,

Both of these behaviors are relatively new and I don't really have an idea
what I could have done to cause it.  As for the white windows, it's kinda
like the video remains asleep for a while longer after the cpu is woken up.
So far it hasn't caused any serious problems, but the one drive dismounting
does concern me.  I've got my hard disk set to 'never' go to sleep and all
timers off.  No scheduled shutdowns either nor am I presently using a screen
saver.  OS 8.6  All else seems fine.

 Anybody experiencing similar behavior or know a fix?  Ideas?

Dave, Try rebuilding the desktop on all drives.
