I've notice that when I put my s900 to sleep lately, it behaves differently when awakened by the space bar. It (and my ole c600) used to come back with the open windows having files displayed. I didn't experience this when I got the unit. Now, when it wakes up, all open windows and icons are blank white and remain this way for about 8 secs. My desktop also appears not calibrated but eventually corrects itself. It also sounds like one of my drives dismounts (You can hear the ddd ddd ddd). But it doesn't seem to actually dismount. when I try accessing each drive as soon as possible after awakening, that doesn't help ID which drive is making the ddd noise.
Both of these behaviors are relatively new and I don't really have an idea what I could have done to cause it. As for the white windows, it's kinda like the video remains asleep for a while longer after the cpu is woken up. So far it hasn't caused any serious problems, but the one drive dismounting does concern me. I've got my hard disk set to 'never' go to sleep and all timers off. No scheduled shutdowns either nor am I presently using a screen saver. OS 8.6 All else seems fine. Anybody experiencing similar behavior or know a fix? Ideas?
