I'm not sure about the 'G3 Required' issues, but I do know that the update to OS 9.2.2 contained some ethernet fixes that had a seriously GREAT effect on all the Mac's I admin at work. They were previously running anything from 9.0.4 to 9.1 and the latest update fixed a problem we were having where they would all intermittently 'lose' their network connection (100baseT, full duplex) only to have it come back just as intermittently. There was no rhyme or reason to the problem, but it is now history.
I realize this does not affect stand alone machines, per say, but the fact that there is apparantly more than "Classic" updates at all leads me to believe that there may be more than just the ethernet fixes involved... know what I mean?... -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
