I don't know. I was kind of hoping someone would chime in with a

The Sonnet ATA 66 card works with at least some ATA/IDE CD and CDRW/
DVD drives. It and the Acard are no longer made. Sonnet no longer
shows any support for drives other then hard drives on their site.
They used to say includes some support for other drives. The Sonnet
ATA 100 card based on the Promise card I don't know anything about.
The Sonnet ATA 133 is again made by Acard. I found the below info on
the ACARD site . I would think the PC drives supported might also
work with the Sonnet/ Acard 133. www.xlr8yourmac.com has a drive
compatibility list which shows a number of drives other then hard
drives that work. I was able to use a cheap older Creative brand DVD
drive with the Sonnet 66 card. It doesn't boot disks but otherwise
works fine & was made before region code check was forced on drive
makers ;-)I advise to check at xlr8yourmac.com and then make sure the
place you buy will take it back if it doesn't work. Fry's if you have
one near is very good about taking things back. CompUSA is getting
much less friendly on taking things back but has never had good
prices nor service at my local stores. Will S
ps.I first tried including the pc drives& Mac drives list then just
the Mac list but list refused as too large a post.Go to
www.acard.com and look under products then the ultra 133 ata power
mac card and perhaps also the PC only card.
