I need to pose a wild question to the group. Has anybody ever heard of a
128 mb Dimm stick which stands 3 1/2" tall? We're not talking length here,
but actual height.

Apparently the ram originally came out of an s900 that had 1 gig of the
stuff. I am looking into a swap to a guy for two of my standard 64's for
two of his 128's. He has a 7500 and not enough room unless he leaves the
case open, which isn't practical. I guess he bought the sticks cheap from a
friend with the stored s900.

Obviously my s900 has the room, and while these might get in the way a bit
if I ever play musical rams, I could tolerate that and the little extra care
needed when working around in there. But I've not ever seen a ram stick
this tall. I suppose you should picture it as basically square. I've asked
the person to send me a pic and some id numbers, so I'm awaiting that.

Does anybody have any knowledge about these? Are they safe? Antiquated?
Run too hot? Anything?

Thanks,

Dave
