> Is anybody using the Acard with a CDRW? What CDRW's will the Acard support?
I use it with a Lite-On 12/10/32, works perfect. I use it with Toast 4 and
iTunes (be sure to have Authoring Support 1.1.3 or later installed), can=B4t
get it to work with Disc burner. Works with Apple CD/DVD driver, does NOT
boot using c-key, but when selected as startup disc in CP. Never had a
broken burn with CD-R, can=B4t tell about CD-RW media because i don=B4t use
them.
The drive was incredible cheap, so i can recommend it. I=B4m sure later
Lite-On drives will work, too.
There is a small "official" list with supported drives on the Acard site,
but check the drive compatibility database at xlr8yourmac.com for much more=

Thanks Chrisso, xlr8yourmac.com didn't have much in the way of CDRW info,
but had lots of HD stuff. On the Acard site there's a chart to show support
for HD's & CDRW's. I saw that it supports the Yamaha 2100E 16/10/40 that I
saw on an auction earlier, I put my bid in and got it for about 65 bucks.
Yeah!!! Afriend of my gave me a Yamaha 2200E 20/10/40, which I couldn't get
to mount at all.
Can I use Toast 5.0 with the Yamaha 2100E 16/10/40?
I'll put this in a S900/225/144MB with an IBM 120gig IDE Attached to the
Acard

Thanks,

Kumi
