PAL is the better quality TV system not used by North/South America for some very strange reason. It is lucky for us we don't use it and enjoy far better color TV than the States. NTSC is mainly used in the Americas only (N.& S. America). Don't take offence, there is another world apart from the US. One can't beat the US when it comes to Motion Pictures though.
