In a recent posting, Jeff Walther wrote (regarding combo FireWire/USB cards in
the c600 series):

Very interesting, Jeff. I have a c600x/280 that I'm in the process of
"reviving", and perhaps the Sonnet Firewire/USB card might be the way to
"double up" on a single PCI slot. Do you offhand know if the CacheDoubler will
be a factor in this? If so, I'll remove it.

On a similar note: does the Sonnet ATA/100 PCI card *ALSO* work on the c600
models, without producing the objectionable "audio stuttering problem"? I
tried an old ProMax TurboMax ATA/33 card in the c600x/280, but got bad
"stuttering" from it (and then removed the card). I'd like to use the single
IDE connector on the motherboard for an ATAPI CD-RW drive, and come up with
some other solution for connecting a hard drive (may have to go SCSI if the
ATA/PCI card path is unworkable in the c600 series).

Thanks,
- John
