It would buy you more resolutions at greater color depth. However, whether
it is worth it depends on which version of the card you have. One version
needed a proprietery module, which was always overpriced. The other version
uses VRAM that soem of the PowerMacs used and that used to be priced
reasonably. The only way to figure out which version you have is to look at
the connectors for the RAM, but I forgot the easily distinguishable feature
between the two.
