I recall having a problem with an older Mac (a 7100 I think) that I thought was RAM related. I tested the RAM with TechTool Pro 1.05, all the tests except major and minor march, and it passed. I then tried Ramometer and it failed almost immediately. Removing the failed RAM chip solved my problem. Since then, I've never trusted TechTool Pro's RAM test. This was an older version of TechTool Pro, but I doubt the RAM test has changed much.
