We are using a very similar setup. LaCie 16/12/32 SCSI with Toast 5, also through an Orange Micro combo card (on the 9600) and a Sonnet Tango combo card on the c600. Toast 5 is well worth the price! The LaCie does generate a lot of fan noise. When you add that to the noises of the two computers and a couple of printers there is lots of swoooosh, hummmmm and rattle noise. But, it still does not drown out 610 WTVN, which comes in on the computer speakers after midnight. Their broadcast tower is about two miles from us.
