I won't bore you too much with details, but I am indeed running OS X on my S900 right now. clap clap clap clap clap
I had to use an external Yamaha CDr400t to do the install, my internal Pioneer 32x caused the dreaded broken folder icon. The Yamaha CDr is an old 4x8 mechanism, so the install process was mighty slow. I'm attempting to install the 10.1 update right now and am hoping for better performance than I've seen with 10.0, or 10.0.4. I kept thinking my L2 cache hadn't re-enabled it was so sluggish. Looks like a G3/350 might be a tad weak, but it's a bit too soon to say for sure. Alti-vec (G4) is a big help in OS X, no doubt. Anyone know how I can test that the L2 cache is enabled properly in OS X? When I boot into OS 9 it is enabled and running up to snuff, so perhaps that means all is well on the OS X side too? More later. Thanks all, for your help leading up to this monumental event. (grin) -Howie -- SuperMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
