Alan Kim: Thank your for replying. Alan, I am dumb enough at this that I don't understand your reply. Why boot from something else? I have an Atlas IV 36.4 gb from OWC. It's divided into 4 partitions. 9.1 is my main D, and 9.0 is on another(my microsoft works program won't open on 9.1 but does fine on 9.0. I have Nortons on both (I have just about everything on both) so I can cross check, run speed disk etc. The internal floppy drive is whatever one came with the UmaxS900. I also have a Que external. Get the same results with either one.
My main problem again is the time it takes to run DD with a 1.4mb floppy-have gone 2+hours, when if I am checking the HD's or a 100 or 250 Zip it sail right along. Trying to find out why the floppys would take so long. Bill Smith __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? LAUNCH - Your Yahoo!
