Hi, Jeff and the rest of the gang.

My EZQuest Cobra+ 60gb external firewire drive stopped flickering its
yellow activity light.
I am not able to acquire the drive by any means.
Although it's still under warranty (I think it is), I am tempted to open
it up to see what's going on.
It's been used maybe a dozen times at most since January, mainly for
temporarily storing Photoshop scans.

The drive was tested on several other Apples - no luck.
It appears to be some sort of problem inside the drive.
Another Cobra drive works fine on my machine, so I've ruled out the
MachFire card.

When first powered up it does make its usual startup noise but the
yellow light does not flicker.

Any ideas would be appreciated but, please, no preaching about RAID
systems, etc.
I've messaged EZQ and also posted a note at MacGurus, which is where I
bought the drive.

Thanks !

Alan
