A point of perhaps interest to some. The Sonnet ATA 100 card was not
made by Acard like the ATA 66 card. It was made by a PC company that
is well thought of called Promise. There have been a number of
reports of problems with it like yours. Sonnet again went back to
Acard for the ATA 133 card. Perhaps because of the problems with the
ATA 100 card or not don't know.
XLR8 is also a great G3 /G4 upgrade company. Their cards in
general seem to be perhaps more trouble free then some. ie are much
less fussy about mixed older ram and interleaving ram nearly always
works. They also over- clock very nicely which Sonnet cards don't and
Newer Tech changed their's so they were no long easy to over clock.
