I'm trying to decide whether to spring for an external firewire drive (I
already have the card, or a ata/ide drive plus the card, or an ata RAID card
and 2 drives.

Questions:
I know you can boot from the single ATA/IDE, but can you boot from the RAID
or the firewire drive as well? If not, how significant of a performance hit
would one take for leaving the 9.1 system on the internal SCSI?
Stephen

PS Can you boot from a SCSI RAID? I have 2 36 GB SCSI 10k drives and a SCSI
card, but I need a big HD to move stuff of the drives so I can reformat them
for a RAID.
