Thanks, all- sorry to wander from list topics, but I need your advice!
My opportunity: To secure DSL as a very reasonable rate (I'm three
blocks from the switching center), with free modem, free install, free
month test run, and no contract commitments (AND their equipment will
accommodate MAC networks)!
My problem: don't know the first damn thing about networking! I have an
S900 and a G3/700 iMac (about sixty feet apart), and am in the process
of rewiring my entire house for high-speed digital access, CAT 5E, etc.,
etc., etc.....
Can anyone tell me what I need to connect these two MAC's and run them
both through the same modem?
Boards? Hubs? Airports?
HELP???
(pardon my protocol faux pas...I'll take your advice "off the air" at
[EMAIL PROTECTED])
Thank you!
PS - Also installing OS 9.1 (from 8.6) - any tricks to this? Anyone have
a simplistic hit list for me to follow?
