Nancy, nope, nice thought, but that ain't it.   I've tried 3 different
version of cd's and then placed some of them on drives to attempt that way.
Even tried fresh burns of each, changed the 'what-ya-ma-callit' file, always
got the same 'Tome Error' despite that and other list recommended install
methods.  

Even so, so far seems to be running stable as can be.  They say sometimes
one should not ask why, but I'd still like to know.
