I believe that only gives you that ID on SCSI Bus 0. Which, while I've never tested it, is likely to have a lot to do with why the key combinations don't work, also. I suspect that the C key tells the computer to boot from SCSI Bus 0, ID3 and many folks probably have their CDROM drive on SCSI Bus 1, ID3. I could be wrong about that.
