I believe that only gives you that ID on SCSI Bus 0. Which, while
I've never tested it, is likely to have a lot to do with why the key
combinations don't work, also. I suspect that the C key tells the
computer to boot from SCSI Bus 0, ID3 and many folks probably have
their CDROM drive on SCSI Bus 1, ID3. I could be wrong about that.
It would be easy enough to test, but I've never felt any pressing
need to do so.

Nice try, but no cigar Jeff. My CD drives were always on ID 3 on bus 0, but
no joy with the 'c' key on boot. But it is true about the ID numbers. I
always kept a removable drive, SyJet on 1 and MO on 2 to allow booting ahead
of the CD drive if desired. And I could specify a later hard drive if
desired OR if no earlier bootable media was installed on SCSI 0.
Another good reason to keep something bootable on SCSI 0 for Umax machines,
as has been pointed out lately.
