Well I'll try and help with making a list from memory....
Twin Turbo cards are one of the best for easy install of OSX. They
came in a number of configurations from 2mb upgradeable to not
upgradeable and 4mb and 8mb
Also both Apple firmware chips to non apple firmware chips. We are
lucky as both firmware do work however the Apple card will work in
any PCI slot and the non apple may need to be in the #1 or 2 PCI
slot. Also the non Apple card may result in black screen for an
extended time when booting and an off color as the sync on green
can't be turned off.

Ultima Rez some people say it works no problem others have had
problems with installing using it. Likely needs PCI slot 1 or 2. OWC
has for around $44.00 www.macsales.com

ATI any older Rage Pro card is great 4 and 8 mb cards( 4mb cards can
be upgraded to 8mb) Works in any slot no problems that I know of.
Radeon PCI card a few reports of them working for install but mostly
not.Works fine after install and first boot is done with another
video card.
Radeon 7000 forget for now unless and until Apple or ATI comes up
with a fix. Major screw up by ATI IMHO
ATI 128 cards in many forms A few reports of working but mostly work
after install and first boot done with another card.

Voodoo 3, 4.5 and 5 cards Well these do work after first installing
and booting with another card. Also PC Voodoo cards can be firmware
flashed to work with Macs. There are websites with the info.

Formac cards unknown by me at this time. Great cards but they
announced soon after OSX came out no support and quite selling Mac
Video cards. They later said they were thinking of drivers if enough
people would pay for them...

Village Tronic A card that likely few on here have heard of.Smalldog
our list sponsor sells them for $99.00 well when i checked them out a
year or so ago when they first showed up the report was no OSX
support (didn't work) the Villagetronic.com website now says supports
OSX 10.1x!!!
This is a german company and these cards support two monitors at the
same time and OSX!! They are 8mb cards which is a bit old fashioned
for a new card but plenty for most people with an older machine.

As noted many of the cards that won't let you do an install of OSX
will work once you've gotten past that part. Also OSX 10.1x perhaps
works with more cards... Many of the above cards are available used
on EBay or sometimes dealers have some laying around or have taken in
trade.
Well that about covers what i know about video cards for OSX. Will S
